New to the Queue: ‘Driven’ on Discovery Resurrects Automotive History

Car dealer and customizer Galpin Auto Sports is making its return to TV next week in a new show, Driven, about rescuing and restoring famous and historical cars. The premiere is Monday, March 30, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Episode 1 takes us through Carroll Shelby’s secret DeTomaso Pantera project with Galpin president and COO Beau Boeckmann, custom car builder Dave Shuten and customization specialist “Mad Mike” Martin—most famous for his wild projects on MTV’s Pimp My Ride.

The team will attempt to resurrect one-of-a-kind vehicles and “reintroduce them to the automotive history books.” Shelby’s Pantera was modified with the legendary Lee Iacocca as part of a program that would eventually turn into the iconic Dodge Viper.
