Forza Horizon 4 Season Change: Hard Chargers Blast Through Spring

Temperatures are rising once again in the UK, as Spring has made its grand return to Forza Horizon 4. This latest seasonal switch marks the final week of Series 20, with a fresh serving of events and content.

The final Series 20 Playlist brings updated prizes for 50% and 80% completion. There’s no new content making its debut this week, but you’ll have a fresh opportunity to bag one of the wildest hypercars ever made.

Read on further for our content breakdown.

Agera Packs a Mighty Punch

This week’s prizes are all returning content, with Koenigsegg leading the charge. The 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 is the result of taking a standard Agera and turning up the extreme meter past eleven.

Alongside the wild aerodynamic upgrades, the One:1 is the first hypercar to develop a power to weight ratio of 1hp per 1kg. The 5.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 pumps out 1,360hp, coupled with a weight of 3,000lb (1,360kg). Despite producing a lot more downforce than a standard Agera, you’ll need to be on top of your game to rein in the One:1.

Also up for grabs is the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. This beast is one of the rarest and most beautiful cars ever made. It also packs serious firepower underneath those curves. A tiny 2.0-liter V8 puts out 245hp in a car weighing just over 1,500lb. The 33 also has a reputation in the community for decimating drag racing events when tuned to full power.

This week’s prizes in the seasonal championships include the Hoonigan Ford Fiesta RS and the Lamborghini Reventon Forza Edition.

One prize to look out for is the Mercedes-AMG GT63 S. This four-door bruiser is a more practical version of the AMG GT sports car. Under the hood sits AMG’s familiar 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8, but has been tuned to produce 640hp. Along with four-wheel-drive, the AMG GT sedan should easily steamroll through all weather conditions.

You’ll need to complete this week’s Trial event “Discount Delivery” to add the AMG to your garage.

If you’re in the mood for a Showcase Remix, the latest returning version promises to be fast and furious. “Supersonic vs Superfast” will see you get back behind the wheel of the volcanic Ferrari 812 Superfast. Here, you’ll be racing against a formidable Delta Wing aircraft

Forzathon Events

Forzathon goes extreme this week, with Extreme Offroad cars taking center stage. Grab one of these wild beasts to get started.

Next, prove your off-road credentials by winning 3 Cross Country Series events. Afterwards, test your extreme off-roader’s durability by earning 20 Wreckage Skills.

Finally, build up some air miles by earning 9 stars from Danger Signs to finish this week off.

Forzathon Shop

Koenigsegg is back at the front of the Forzathon Shop lineup this week, with the car that catapulted the company into the hypercar spotlight.

The CC8S was the first production model Koenigsegg made, and gave a serious shock to the elite establishment. Power by a supercharged 4.6-liter V8, the CC8S puts out 655hp, and produced performance on par with the McLaren F1.

If you want the CC8S, you’ll need to pay up 600 Forzathon Points. If current Koenigseggs are too wild for your tastes, then the CC8S might just provide what you’re looking for.

Alongside the Koenigsegg stands the imposing Terradyne Gurkha. This armored patrol vehicle will bulldoze whatever chooses stand in its way, thanks to its hefty 16,500lb bulk. You won’t be getting anywhere fast in the Gurkha as the 6.7-liter, turbocharged V8 diesel engine produces just 300hp. Once you get going, the Gurkha is pretty much unstoppable.

The Gurkha will set you back 450FP this week. If you’re after a brute in order to your authority on the Horizon Festival, then look no further.

This week’s novelty items are the Sheep horn and the Sapphire Crown.

Forza Horizon 4 Season Change: Toyota's Legend Tames Winter

Winter has taken its hold across the UK for another week in Forza Horizon 4. The arrival of snow also means a new serving of content and more events for players to go after.

The Winter Playlist for this week features a new set of prizes for 50% and 80% completion. This week, a legendary grand tourer from Toyota takes its bow.

2000GT Arrives In Style

Among the snow and ice this week, the 1969 Toyota 2000GT is the big prize for the season.

This legendary sports car changed the world’s opinion about Toyota and its performance credentials. With styling inspired by the Jaguar E-Type, the 2000GT houses a 2.0-liter straight-six engine under the hood. Although it makes just 150hp, a weight of just over 2,500lb means it has comparable performance to its main rival, the Datsun 240Z.

If you’re after more power, then the Mercedes CLK GTR could be the answer. Built as a homologation special for GT1 racing, this particular CLK shares very little with a regular road car. The mid-engined CLK features a monstrous 6.9-liter V12 that pumps out 622hp. You’ll need plenty of talent and patience to tame this unruly beast on the icy UK roads.

This week’s seasonal championship prizes are populated by the 2011 Citroen DS3 Racing and the 2018 Mini Countryman John Cooper Works.

One of the main standouts is the BMW M3 GTR. Another homologation special, the GTR is the first M3 to house a V8 engine — a 4.0-liter motor similar to the one in the racer, but producing 380hp. The GTR also features a host of other racing modifications to ensure tight and responsive handling. If that sounds like your cup of tea, you’ll need to win the “Ice Truckers” seasonal championship.

There’s a new Showcase Remix event as well. “Road to Anywhere” will see you get back behind the wheel of the Austin FX4 Taxi for a race across the Scottish Highlands. Your opponent for this challenge is a giant hovercraft, as it obviously would be.

This week’s prize list is below.

Ice Truckers

  • Series: Cross Country Series
  • Cars: Trucks
  • Restrictions: B Class, 700 PI
  • Prizes: 15,000 CR, 25,000 CR, BMW M3 GTR

This Side Up

  • Series: Cross Country Series
  • Cars: Offroad Buggies
  • Restrictions: A Class, 800 PI
  • Prizes: 15,000 CR, 25,000 CR, Back Spring emote

Neither Rain Nor Sleet

  • Series: Dirt Racing Series
  • Cars: Classic Rally
  • Restrictions: C Class, 600 PI
  • Prizes: 15,000 CR, 25,000 CR, Citroen DS3 Racing

The Trial: Snow Returns (Co-Op Championship)

  • Series: Road Racing Series
  • Cars: Classic Racers
  • Restrictions: S1 Class, 900 PI
  • Prizes: Maserati Tipo 61

Winter Games – Series 20

  • Series: Playground Games
  • Cars: Rally Monsters
  • Restrictions: S1 Class, 900 PI
  • Prizes: Mini Countryman JCW

The Roman Mile Speed Trap

  • Season Objective: 235 mph

Railyard Ramp Danger Sign

  • Season Objective: 774.3 ft

Coppice Speed Zone

  • Season Objective: 86 mph

Forzathon Events

Forzathon looks back at a golden age this week, with Retro Rally cars in the spotlight. Grab one of the iconic machines available to get things rolling.

Next, time to exercise some creative overtaking, as you’ll need to earn 3 Airborne Pass skills in your rally machine. Afterwards, you’ll need to take some brave pills whilst showing off your drifting. You’ll need to get 5 Lucky Escape Skills in order to progress.

Finally, test your driving ability by earning a 3-star score at the Derwent Water Speed Zone to complete this week’s challenges.

Forzathon Shop

This week’s lineup is a mixed bag with a sports SUV and a unique supercar up for grabs.

First up is the 2019 Porsche Macan Turbo. This range topping variant of Porsche’s small SUV packs plenty of punch over the 2015 version. The smaller 2.9-liter twin turbocharged V6 now packs 434hp compared to the old 3.6-liter version. With improved dynamics, this Macan should be able to tackle the snowy terrain with ease.

You’ll have to cough up 600 Forzathon Points on the Macan. If you feel dissatisfied with the 2015 Macan and are searching for more, then the 2019 variant should erase those concerns.

Those after something more unique will be interested in the 2018 Italdesign Zerouno. This supercar is the first production car to come from the famed design studio. Underneath the wild styling, the Zerouno sits on the running gear from the Lamborghini Huracan. That means a 5.2-liter V10 putting out 602hp. With four-wheel drive, you’ll have no worries about the treacherous conditions this week.

At 450 FP, the Zerouno is a relatively cheap proposition. If you want to stand apart from the supercar establishment, then the Zerouno is the answer.

Novelty items this week include the Clown Dance emote and Clown Mask.

New Morgan Plus 4 70th Anniversary Edition launched

The 20 limited edition Morgan Plus 4s will be the final cars built on Morgan’s previous-generation, traditional steel frame chassis

This is the new Morgan Plus 4 70th Anniversary Edition. As the same suggests, it celebrates the iconic British sports car’s seventh decade in continuous production, after its initial launch in October 1950. Just 20 examples of the celebratory model will be built, priced at £60,995 each – and all of them have already been reserved.

Keen Morgan anoraks will notice that this special edition Plus 4 is based on the outgoing model, rather than the recently launched BMW-powered evolution. The 20 cars will be the final Plus 4s built on Morgan’s traditional steel-frame chassis, before production moves over to the company’s all-new bonded aluminium underpinnings.

  • Best sports cars 2020

As such, it uses the previous car’s powertrain. Like the Plus 4s of the early 2000s, this special edition model is powered by Ford’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder Duratec engine. However, Morgan’s in-house tuning specialist, Aero Racing, has added a sports exhaust system and a new engine map – meaning power rises from 154bhp to 180bhp, while the Plus 4’s 0–62mph time falls from around eight seconds to “less than seven seconds.”

Each 70th Anniversary Edition will come with an extensive list of exclusive additions including a gold-painted chassis, platinum metallic paint, satin dark grey wire wheels, a motorsport-inspired front valance and an exterior styling pack that swaps the car’s A-pillars, sidescreens, stone guards and exhaust for black replacements.

The tweaks continue in the interior. Each car receives a numbered plaque and embroidered seats, alongside a Ravenwood veneer dashboard, dark grey box weave carpets and a Mota-Lita steering wheel. Other additions include heated seats, footwell lighting and a new steering cowl trimmed in fine grade leather, which Morgan sourced specifically for this car.

What do you make of the new Morgan Plus 4 70th Anniversary Edition? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…

SPIED: 2021 Audi RS3 Sedan – 4 doors, over 400 hp

Having unveiled the new A3 earlier this month, Audi is now hard at work delivering performance versions of its compact car. The middling S3 should come pretty soon, but the one we’re waiting for is the top-dog RS3, which will take the fight to the latest Mercedes-AMG A 45.

We’ve seen spyshots of the hatchback before, but this time our spies have managed to snag photos of the sedan as well. The hot four-door looks as handsome as its lesser variants, with a short rump and sleek L-shaped tail lights. Beyond that, this development prototype is as per the hatch mules, sporting a much wider front track that is covered by rather crude wheel arch extensions.

The bumpers, meanwhile, are from the S3 (evident by the larger air intakes compared to the regular A3), which explains the mismatch in width between the front bumper and fenders. Also visible are large wheels, wrapped in low-profile tyres and hiding huge cross-drilled front brakes. The trademark Audi Sport oval exhaust pipes are visible at the rear, poking out from under the diffuser.

Expect the RS3 to be powered by the same 2.5 litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine as before, but tweaked above and beyond the 400 PS and 480 Nm of torque it currently makes – it needs to at least match the A 45 S’ 421 PS and 500 Nm, after all. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive will likely feature, and possibly a mild hybrid system as well to improve fuel economy and emissions.

March 2020 week 4 fuel price – RON 95 under RM1.50, but please don't rush out to pump fuel unnecessarily

Another Friday, and as such, the usual weekly fuel price update. There’s fantastic news for motorists, but most, if not all, will not be able to take advantage of it. The ministry of finance has announced that the price of all fuels has dropped again for the coming March 21 to 27 week, and the reduction is significant.

The price of Euro 4M RON 95 petrol has gone down by 38 to RM1.44 per litre (from RM1.82 per litre last week), while RON 97 will be priced at RM1.74, 36 sen less than the RM2.10 it was last week.

As for Euro 2M diesel, the price has also been reduced, the fuel now going for RM1.75 per litre, 12 sen cheaper than it was last week (RM1.87). This means that Euro 5 diesel, which costs 10 sen more than Euro 2M diesel, will be priced at RM1.85 per litre.

The massive drop might make you want to rush out and fill up the tank tomorrow, but do remember that the fight against Covid-19 is just into its third day, with the movement control order (MCO) set to run until March 31. In any case, there’s a whole week for you to fill up before the next price revision update the following Friday, and with the MCO about, it’s not like you can drive anywhere much anyway.

If you’re going to fill up, do take all necessary precautions to safeguard yourself. If possible, wear disposable gloves while using the pump to refuel and when keying in PIN numbers for payment, and if you don’t have that, bringing a kitchen towel along for the same purpose of limiting direct contact with the pump should work. You can also pay wave where possible. And always remember to sanitise when you’re done.

The prices remain effective until March 27, when the next fuel price update is announced. This is the 11th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for the year and the 63rd edition in total for the format, with runs from Saturday until the following Friday.

Tesla: Giga New York Built 4 MW Of Solar Roof Last Week

Tesla hints at the capability to produce enough Solar Roof tiles for up to 1,000 homes per week.

Tesla boasted yesterday that its Giga New York plant (also known as Gigafactory 2) built 4 MW of Solar Roof tiles last week.

We assume that it’s the total volume, produced at the plant in Buffalo, New York, not the installed volume at customers’ homes.

“Giga New York built 4MW of Solar Roof last week, enough for up to 1000 homes!”

Tesla adds that it would be enough for up to 1,000 homes – at 4 kW per site, on average, but we guess that many customers will install more power than 4 kW.

The 4 MW in a week corresponds to the capability of producing 16 MW in a month or 48 MW in a quarter, compared to a total of 54 MW of solar products (mostly conventional panel) installed in Q4 2019.

It’s outstanding news that Giga New York is finally improving the rate of production, which might be a turning point in Tesla’s solar business.

Hopefully, the coronavirus will not complicate/delay the progress, but even then, it seems that the mass market Solar Roof is just a matter of time.

Forza Horizon 4 Season Change: Delivering a Powerful Summer

Summer has rolled in to the UK to begin a fresh week in Forza Horizon 4. The newest season marks the kickoff for Series 20, with a spate of new content due to arrive over the next four weeks.

Series 20 also means an all-new Playlist, with new prizes available for 50% and 80% completion. This week sees the debut of the fastest McLaren ever made. There’s a lot to get through this week, so let’s dive in.

Speedy Speedtail

The big Summer season prize this week is the gaming debut of the 2019 McLaren Speedtail. Woking’s latest Ultimate Series flagship is its fastest and most powerful road car ever made.

Using a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 with hybrid assistance, the Speedtail produces a mighty 1,036hp. Combined with a sleek aerodynamic body, the Speedtail will blast on to 250mph. To revive the spirit of the old McLaren F1, there’s also a three-seater layout with a central driving position.

Those eager to try out the Speedtail for they can win one, a new Monthly Rivals event will give you that opportunity. You can attempt to tame the Speedtail around the Lakehurst Copse Circuit this month.

If you’re after huge speed, but without the F1 nostalgia, then the McLaren 720S Spider will be for you. Like the Speedtail, the 720S has a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8, but the Super Series model produces a more modest 710hp. Despite gaining a folding hardtop roof for the Spider variant, this 720S retains identical performance to the coupe.

Prizes for completing the Playlist include the McLaren 600LT and Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. Over with the seasonal championships, the prizes include the Hoonigan Ford RS200 and BMW Z4 M40i

One prize that fans will enjoy is the Ferrari F50. Designed to replace the F40, this supercar was labelled as a ‘Formula One car for the road’. The 512hp, 4.7-liter V12 was derived from the Ferrari 641 racer, and was bolted directly to the carbon tub. If you want the F50, you’ll need to win the “Handle With Care” championship to get it.

There’s also a new Horizon Story available through the whole month. “Express Delivery” will see you hop in to some of Horizon’s commercial vehicles to deliver an assortment of items to various points around the UK.

Prizes for this week are listed below:

Forzathon Events

This week’s Forzathon looks at cars that became cult heroes in Britain: Retro Hot Hatches. Own and drive one of the pocket rockets available to get started.

Next, unleash your car’s full potential and rack up 25 Ultimate Speed Skills. You’ll need a fair bit of tuning to get your car up to the required speeds for this one. Afterwards, it’s time to hit the streets as you’ll need to earn 3 victories in Street Scene events.

Finally, you’ll have to earn 3 stars in total from Speed Zones to finish this week’s challenges.

Forzathon Shop

The shop lineup this week consists of a pair of rare Italian beasts. Sitting front and center is the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante.

Designed to be more track-focused than a standard Huracan, the Performante sheds 88lb and gains a power boost to 631hp for the 5.2-liter V10. The Performante’s party piece lies in its hidden active aerodynamics, allowing for much more downforce than a regular Huracan.

If you want it, the Performante will cost you a hefty 650 Forzathon Points. That means that if you were unlucky and missed it during Series 18, you now have another chance to grab one.

However, should you be after something more classic, there’s the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2. This racer was designed to take on Porsche in GT sportscar racing during the 1960s. The TZ2 racked up multiple wins during an 18-month period. Despite only having a 1.6-liter engine making 170hp, the TZ2 weighs in at a scant 1,367lb, allowing for enjoyable handling.

You will need to fork out 450 FP if you want one. However, you might save yourself from spending millions in the Autoshow if you choose to get it from the shop.

Clothing items available this week are the Pink Biker Boots and Pink Biker helmet.

Tesla Gigafactory 4 Update: Site Rendering And New Videos

Site rendering give us glimpses of the Tesla Gigafactory 4 plan.

The progress of the Tesla Gigafactory 4 (aka Giga Berlin) in Grünheide, near Berlin in Germany seems to be moving at a similar pace to the Gigafactory 3 in China (at comparable stage).

Part of the plot – for the first phase – was already cleared, and new construction equipment appeared on the scene – mainly excavators, the first crane and various other stuff.

Before we will jump into new videos, let’s take a look at brilliant renderings of the site, released by a young Tesla enthusiast Emil Senkel via twitter.

The first image presents the expected first phase of the project – a big assembly plant on the south, surrounded by auxiliary facilities and parking:

The more detailed description of the Tesla Giga Berlin can be seen in the second image. It includes several big facilities, connected to the highway system and the railroad:

Now, let’s move to the new videos, which shows preparation for the actual construction stage:
