In a world of cringey car shows about manufactured deadlines and fake workshop tension, Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is a welcome bright spot. The show features famous personalities—mostly comedians who are friends with Seinfeld—driving around in cool vintage metal, talking about a wide variety of fascinating topics. According to Seinfeld, however, it doesn’t sound like we’ll be getting any new episodes.
In an interview with Variety, Seinfeld spilled the beans on the future of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, or rather, the lack thereof. From the piece:
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee has put out 84 episodes spread across 11 seasons since its premiere in 2012. It aired first on streaming site Crackle, before moving to Netflix in 2018. The latest season, which first aired in July 2019, featured guests such as Jamie Foxx, Seth Rogan, Ricky Gervais, and Eddie Murphy.
