Virtual Racing on TV: Where to Find IndyCar, Legends and More April 11-12

Finally, IndyCar is going back to Michigan International Speedway.

Wait, it’s not real, but until the COVID-19 pandemic passes, it’s the best race fans have to the real thing.

This week’s edition of the IndyCar iRacing Challenge, featuring drivers of the NTT IndyCar Series, will be live from virtual Michigan International Speedway. The real Indy cars last raced the 2-mile, D-shaped, high-banked oval in Brooklyn, Michigan, in 2007.

The IndyCar iRacing Challenge heads this weekend’s Virtual Racing on TV slate.

Meanwhile, the Torque Esports Series is back this weekend and features two races. The All-Star Cup pits racers from Formula 1, Formula E, IndyCar and sports cars against some of the world’s top sim racers. The provisional lineup for The Legends Trophy race includes F1 and IndyCar greats Emerson Fittipaldi, Jacques Villeneuve and Jenson Button and Indy 500 winners Juan Pablo Montoya, Dario Franchitti, Helio Castroneves, Gil de Ferran and Tony Kanaan.

And, if you want to watch even more virtual action on the open-wheel side, the Ricmotech Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires iRacing eSeries from the virtual Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course is Saturday. That series features drivers in the NTT IndyCar Series pipeline.
