The Next Hyundai Tucson Looks Wild
Hyundai teased its next-gen Tucson SUV on Wednesday, and like other automakers, the company is getting quite creative with its new light signature. It debuts September 15 and will be offered in two lengths, globally, both under the same name.
The new light show is part of Hyundai’s Parametric Dynamics design style that also plays a big part on the new Elantra sedan. The lights are hidden in the grille when turned off. And while we can’t tell exactly how bright they are, you’ll definitely be able to recognize them in your rearview mirror.
Hyundai says the Tucson is bigger and wider than the previous generation. And, again, like the Elantra, has angular body panels and short overhangs. There’s more geometric pattern in the back too.
The interior looks like it’s still a little in the concept phase right now, but the screen/center dash area looks good. The center console area looks, let’s say experimental.
But, I’ll say what I said about the Nissan Cube: looks a little weird, maybe not for me, but I’m glad they’re taking chances.
We’ll have a boatload more pictures, and more information, when its revealed in a couple weeks.
