Rumour: New Kawasaki ZX-4R under development
The rumoured Kawasaki ZX-4R is said to come powered by a 400cc in-line 4-cylinder engine.
According to a media report, Kawasaki is rumoured to be developing a new fully-faired motorcycle called the ZX-4R. The new bike will come equipped with a 400cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine.
The engine is said to be based on the brand’s ZX-25R model, which went on sale in the Asian and Australian markets last year. The powertrain in the new Kawasaki ZX-4R is said to have been created by enlarging the bore of the ZX-25R’s engine, increasing its displacement to around 400cc.
The re-bored engine is also said to have a new set of pistons and crank. However, there is no mention of the power and torque figures of the unit.
There is also no official information from Kawasaki regarding the ZX-4R, with most of the details being speculations at this point.
