Hyundai i20 diesel discontinued ahead of BS6-II rollout
The 2023 Hyundai i20 is available with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines. Prices start at Rs. 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai has updated its product line-up ahead of the BS6 stage-II rollout. The launch of the Grand i10 NIOS and Aura facelift was followed by the introduction of the MY2023 Creta, Alcazar and Venue.
The i20 hatchback has also received updated engines that are now compliant with the upcoming Real Driving Emission (RDE) norms. While the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines have been carried over, the 1.5-litre diesel motor has been axed.
The 1.5-litre oil burner produced 99 BHP and 240 Nm and was offered a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine was available in Magna, Sportz and the top-spec Asta (O) trim. Besides this, the 1.0L turbo-petrol iMT variants have also been discontinued.
Following the latest variant rejig, prices for the 2023 Hyundai i20 range from Rs 7.19 lakh for the 1.2L Magna to Rs 11.83 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1.0L Turbo DCT Asta (O) Dual Tone.
