Honda CB500X launched at Rs. 6.87 lakh
The CB500X will be imported as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit and assembled locally.
Honda has launched the CB500X at a price of Rs. 6,87,386 (ex-showroom, Gurgaon). The bike will be imported as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit and assembled locally. It will be sold through Honda’s premium BigWing dealer network.
The CB500X is an adventure touring bike featuring a modern and sporty look. The bike has dual-tone bodywork with an LED headlamp, a tall windscreen, stepped seat and a single side-mounted exhaust. It comes equipped with a digital instrument cluster and rides on multi-spoke alloy wheels that are shod with all-terrain tyres.
Powering the CB500X is a 471cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that puts out 46 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 43.2 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper and assist clutch.
The CB500X is equipped with 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear. It has dual-channel ABS.
In India, the CB500X competes with the Kawasaki Versys 650, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT and Benelli TRK 502.
