Fast 9's Release Date Pushed Nearly a Year to April 2021

Fast 9, the 10th installment in the Fast & Furious film franchise, has had its release date pushed back nearly a year due to Coronavirus concerns, according to the film’s official Twitter account. It was originally supposed to debut on May 21, 2020.

According to the above statement, Fast 9 will premier globally in April 2021, with a release date of April 2 in North America. This means it’ll be at least another 13 months before we see a new Fast film hit theaters.

Universal Studios released a teaser trailer for Fast 9 in late January 2020, then a full trailer for the film just a few days later (shown below). Like with most modern Fast & Furious franchise films, there seems to be plenty of action and sweet rides involved.

The news comes just a week after No Time to Die, the 25th installment in the James Bond 007 series, had its release date pushed back to November 2020.
