Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster for sale

All 28 were sold before the announcement – this one's ready and waiting

Most of the time here at PH HQ, we open up a Word document and spend a good 5-10 minutes trying to think of something witty to say or how best to characterise something intriguing we’ve found lurking in the bottom end of the classifieds. But sometimes, we don’t even need to do that, because all we have to do is show you the pictures. And this Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster, just one of 28 ever produced, is one of them.

The Speedster joined the quartet of Zagatos back in 2018, alongside the Coupe, Volante and Shooting Brake bodystyles, with each getting Aston’s 600hp 5.9-litre V12 engine with a Touchtronic automatic transmission. The “uncompromising roofless design that expresses the raw excitement of an open-top performance sports car” here was the smallest run from the four, so the fact one has popped up in the PistonHeads classifieds is especially interesting.

But enough of the PR blurb – let’s just take a minute to admire it, shall we. It’s finished in the original concept design colour of Lava Red paint and comes with the “Villa d’Este” package of bespoke badges, wheel spokes and side strakes picked out in bronze.

The slightly more subjective interior upholstery is a mix of tan and chocolate leather, highlighted with ‘Spicy Red’ thread, with more bronze highlights around the vents and steering wheel.

Behind the paintwork, though, is the real uniqueness of this car – it’s another supercar sitting for sale that has just a delivery mileage on the clock, in this case, just 45 miles. It’s never even been on the road, and has been professional stored since new, offering a brand-new model for your purchasing pleasure.

Seeing as all 28 models had sold out before Aston had even published the original press release back in 2018, the fact there’s one here, in a rather special colour combination and ready for a new owner is even more impressive. All you need is – well, £845,000. As-new prices for the Speedster were give or take a cool mill’, so it’s basically a bargain. The dealer is even offering to help with any export requirements, ready and waiting for Dubai and beyond…
