1983 Mercedes-Benz Interior Nothing Like a Living Room
Heading out of the Malaise Era and into the maniacally turbocharged middle 1980s, many vehicle manufacturers were stuffing their cockpits with distracting instrumentation and science-fiction design elements. Not so with Mercedes-Benz, at the time still building (relatively) stodgy panzers designed to last a half-million miles or more. Here’s an extremely wordy two-page magazine advertisement touting the ’83 Benzes and the men-in-white-coats-proven science behind their gauge and seating designs.
